Mt Chandra Bhaga 13 (CB13) and Mt Chandrabhaga 14 (CB14) is a combined expedition organized by White Peaks Adventures. Located centrally in the Lahaul Massif both the peaks offer a magnificent view of Kunzum Range, Chandrataal Lake, and the Dhaka Glacier. Conjuring memories of the unexplored and inaccessible valley of the Hindustan-Tibet Road and the calmness of Chadrataal lake, the CB 13 and CB 14 are one of the most attractive peak Himalayas great climbing peaks. With an prior experience of a nontechnical peak climbing and sound knowledge of mountaineering, one can prepare himself to climb the twin summit.
The terrain is rouged, a couple of technical boulders on your and the steep summit makes CB 13 and CB 14 a bit on the difficult side.

Adventure Trek  Itinerary

Day 0: Arrive Delhi
Arrive the connecting town Delhi.The rest of the day is at your leisure. Relax in your hotel or explore the many sights of Delhi: India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, Lodhi Gardens, and many more. fro
Take an overnight bus around 5-6 PM from Delhi to reach Manali the following morning.

Day 1: Manali 
Today we will complete any required formalities with the local administration and Forest Department. While our team takes care of all the official formalities you get introduced to the team and divide the equipment. Check your bags a final time and go for a shopping if required with the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Spend the evening with a short local sightseeing walk and explore one of India’s most famous hill stations.

Overnight at Nature Base Camp, Manali

Day 2:   Manali to Batal
We will leave Manali early this morning and drive to Batal (14,100 feet) by road, arriving late afternoon. A long journey, of around 6-8 hours, but the enchanting views of Spiti valley make it all worth it.

Day 3:   Acclimatization Day - Visit to Chandrataal Lake
A must needed acclimatization day to make our further journey smooth. We will go for an acclimatization walk till Chandrataal Lake.

Day 4: Batal to Base Camp 
Having arrived at base camp we will set up camp and begin briefing and safety techniques. During our stay in Base Camp we will study the local weather forecast and the gradient of the route, based on this we plan our further days of the expedition. Equipment distribution, route planning, team planning (advance +backup team) revising technical skills, studying tricky passes of the expedition and making plans to tackle them. Today you will practice:

  • Self-arrest technique
  • Using fix ropes 
  • Fixing and defixing of carabiners
  • Walking with crampons - front pointing and flat footing (35 degrees to 55 degrees)
  • Knot practicing
  • Ascending and descending techniques
  • Basic self-rescue techniques
  • Handling common accidents
  • Handling Ice axe

Day 5:  Stay at BASECAMP: Acclimatization and Practising.

Day 6:  Stay at BASECAMP: LOAD FERRY to the ABC and come back to BC.

This day we will leave our Base Camp and setup up Advance Base Camp for following days.

Day 8:  Establish Summit Camp for Mt. CB 13
This day we will leave ABC and climb up to SUMMIT CAMP, we will set up our SUMMIT CAMP for Mt. CB 13 today.

Day 9:  THE SUMMIT DAY - CB 13 -6,254 m (20,551 ft)
This is our first day when we attempt for Summit, on our successful attempt we will go back to SUMMIT CAMP.

Day 10:  Reserve Day for Summit Mt CB 13 and back to ABC

Day 11:  Rest Day at ABC

This day we will rest ABC and prepare ourselves to climb up to another Summit of the expedition CB 14

Day 12:  THE SUMMIT DAY - CB 14 -6,078 m (19,940 ft)
This is our first day when we attempt for Summit, on our successful attempt we will go back to ABC.

Day 14:  Advance Base Camp to Base Camp
Today we will leave our Advance Base Camp and halt for a day at Base Camp. Debriefing will be done this day with experience sharing talks.
