Dev Ropa Trek, one of the Manali regions most off the beaten track destinations. Amidst the Himalayas majestic mountains its beauty will leave you speechless! Dev means God and Ropa: descent. Meaning descent of the God the treks picturesque trails feel somewhat other-wordly. Hike through the Malana Valley in Himachal Pradesh, of which the village is famous for belonging to purported ancestors of Alexander the Great. We will also be crossing the famous Chanderkhani Pass along this trek.

Day 1 : Reporting at Naggar Nature Base Camp, Manali( 6200 ft).
Relax at our Nature camp this day and get acclimatise to the high altitude. Today you’ll prepare for your trek by few acclimatisation walks with enough for visiting the market and surrounding areas.

Day 03: Naya Tapru via Chanderkhani pass to Kala Pot
We will begin with a steep ascent to Chanderkhani Pass (12,000 feet) where we will stop for lunch and take in the far reaching views of the surrounding views before we make the descent to Kala Pot, where we will set up camp for the night.

Day 04: Kala Pot – Shokat (2900 m; 6-7 hrs) Approx 9 – 10 kms
After breakfast we will begin the trek for our next campsite: Shokat. Here you’ll have a chance to meet local villagers along the way and take in the lush green meadows whilst views of Pir Punjal range keep you going.

Day 05: Shokat to Bakore
After almost seven hours trekking we will reach Bakore, our last campsite until Dev Roopa. A beautiful campsite, we’ll spend two nights here before our summit.

Day 06: Bakore to Dev Roopa and return to Bakore
We will reach Dev Roopa today after three steep climbs of approximately an hour each. The route runs parallel to a stream which comes from Dev Roopa, a very sacred place for the locals.

Day 07: Bakore to Witiching: (3227m; 7-8 hrs) Approx 9 – 10 kms
After breakfast we will start our easy descend for Bogdi campsite.

Day 08: Witiching to Malana via Malana Dam: (3800 m/ 11515ft; 4 – 5hrs) Approx 6 – 7 kms
An easier walk today, we’ll be on foot for approximately four to five hours, crossing picturesque mountain meadows and villages. We will explore the untouched village of Malana this day including a visit to Malana Dam After the visit we end our journey with a short drive to Jari/Kasol.
