Sara Umga Pass Trek is a 5 day five classic snow trek in parvati valley of Himachal Pradesh. The trek commences from Manikaran of Kullu and cross Sara Umga pass as 5055 m entering Lahaul & Spiti on the other side. The views are jaw dropping and best part of this trek is that it is still isolated from most of the trekkers. Sara Umga is a moderate level trek with a drastic change in landscapes from lush green meadows of Kullu to barren beauty of Lahaul.

Adventure Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Reporting Manikaran
Today morning we will complete all reporting, briefing, and documentation. Trekkers can enjoy natural hot water springs at Manikaran this day.
Overnight Stay at Hotel
Day 02: Manikaran to Tosh and Budhaban
We will start our day with a short ride from Manikaran to halfway between Barshaini and Tosh, from where we will start our ascent. Barshaini offers a great view of Parvati valley and surrounding villages like Pulga , Kalga . We will start our trek near to the Dam of Parvati River. It’s an easy walk until Tosh village and then a gradual climb before Budhaban. After around five hours walking, the day ends in lush green meadows of Buddhaban where will setup our campsite.

Day 03: Budhaban to Losha Thatch and Snout camp
It’s a long day walk as we leaves behind the sights of Parvati and Tosh rivers and climbs further up crossing the tree line through scree and then meadows, such a thrilling day to test your ability. The freshness of the Parvati Valley will keep the trekkers charged to reach the Scout campsite. After reaching Snout campsite we will reward you with a hot chai or soup. Get comfortable in your campsites to conquer Sara Umga pass the next day.

Day 04: Snout camp to Sara Umga Pass and Phutirini
Wake up early in Parvati Valley to reach Sara Umga Pass before noon, the day starts with a steep ascent crossing patches of snow and scree. This mountain pass is one of the least inhabited areas. Permanently covered in a layer of snow it makes the crossing over moderately technical. Sara Umga Pass offers a jaw dropping view of Lahaul and Tosh valley. After approximately eight hours trekking we will reach camp.
Overnight in camp, Thach
Day 05: Phutiruni to Chhota Dara
From Putiruni to Chota Dara is an easy trek, but once you’ve reached the bottom of it you’ll need a bucket to cross the Chandra River. After six hours trekking we will reach our camp.
Overnight stay at Chota Dhara
Day 06: Drive from Chhota dara to Manali via the Rohtang Pass (13050 ft.)
